Alan Hall

Alan Hall is the original founder of the business in 1994 and currently is owner and director with his son Chris.  The business was started at home and gradually developed over a number of years to its present size.

Alan has spent all his career in the finance industry and worked with major finance companies in all areas of consumer and business financing.  Alan is a qualified financial adviser for mortgages and a range of different types of insurance including protection, general and private health.

Alan lives with his wife at Chieveley, near Newbury where they have been since 1986 when they moved to the area. Interest include playing golf (when time permits), cycling and watching all types of sport.

Chris Hall

Chris Hall joined his father in the business in April 2004 and became his administrator whilst studying for his qualifications. Chris is now a director of the business and looks after the day to day management of the business whist still being an active adviser.

Chris specialises in mortgage and protection advice and is passionate about giving his clients great service along with great advice and this is shown in the number of customer recommends he receives. Chris also provides advice in General insurance and more recently Private medical insurance.

Chris lives with his wife and children in Newbury and has lived in the area for 25 years. Chris enjoys socialising, playing golf, watching most sports and nights away under the stars in his old VW campervan with his family and friends.

June Green

June Green has been in the Financial Services Industry for over 20 years. June is fully qualified in FPC and Cemap.

June is authorised to give advice and arrange mortgages and advise on a range of different types of protection and general insurance.

June lives with her long term partner of 25 years in the village of Horton cum Studley Oxfordshire. They have a daughter aged 15 who is a very keen golfer who plays for the county. So for June, anytime outside of work is spent taking her daughter to various golfing events. Other interests include travel, good food, wine and music.

Dave Lewis

Dave Lewis was born and educated in Jersey, moving to London to work in the City in a Treasury environment trading in the domestic and international money markets.

Having left the City, Dave joined The Woolwich in 2001 and became a fully qualified mortgage and protection insurance adviser. He has since worked for a small Independent Financial Advisor for several years in London but more recently joined Firstxtra from Lloyds TSB Bank being eager to offer clients mortgages, protection and general insurance from a range of providers.

Dave lives with his wife in the village of Eversley Cross in North East Hampshire since 2004 and interests include swimming, travel, motor sport, football and rugby.

Shane Livingstone

Shane has spent the last seven years in the finance industry, prior to that, fifteen years in retail management. Shane is a qualified financial adviser for mortgages and a range of different types of protection and general insurance.

Shane lives with his wife and children in Tadley, near Basingstoke where they have been since 1999 having lived in Kingsclere for a number of years prior to that.  Shane has always been a keen local sportsmen having played football, rugby and cricket for a number of local teams and represented Berkshire at rugby.

Darryl

Darryl is in his 21st year as a financial adviser having trained and developed his career with the Co-operative Bank. He is a fully qualified financial adviser having passed the full financial planning certificate in 1996 and has held adviser status ever since allowing him to advise and recommend on a wide range of mortgage and protection insurance products .
 
Darryl lives in a South Oxfordshire village with his wife and 2 children and predominately works in the Abingdon, Didcot and Wantage area offering a face to face service.    
 
His interests include watching premier league football and Formula 1 motor sport and is particularly interested in the new popularity in premier league darts having represented Oxfordshire at county level for over 10 years in the late 80'sand  90's.

David Knight

David Knight has worked for the company since October 2009. He joined as an experienced advisor having worked in the financial industry for the past 20 plus years.

David’s experience has come from previously working for both large and small companies within several areas of the industry, general insurance, investment management, compliance and now as an advisor. He is a qualified financial adviser for mortgages and a range of different types of insurance including protection and general insurance.

David lives with his wife and 3 young children in Curbridge near Witney, Oxfordshire. He has lived there for the last 5 years having moved from Witney where he grew up.

With three young children David doesn’t have much time for interests but enjoys playing the Oxfordshire game of Aunt Sally with friends and relaxing watching films when his children are asleep.

Craig Shaw

Craig joined Firstxtra in April 2010 as a newly qualified Financial Adviser, having spent the majority of his career within a blue chip environment in the energy sector leading operational finance teams. He has a strong commercial and financial background which compliments his move into Financial Services, and can offer advice on all types of mortgages, protection and general insurance.

Originally from Altrincham in Cheshire, Craig has settled in Sandhurst, Berkshire with his teenage daughter following a company relocation in 1995. Interests include all types of sport, particularly football, and he is a keen Manchester City supporter. He also plays an active role in managing his investment portfolio and overseas property.

Charlotte Goswell

Charlotte started her career in estate agency back in 2004 selling properties in and around the Reading area.

Joining Firstxtra in 2008 she gained a depth of knowledge within the financial services industry by working alongside a network and over 100 advisers in the Thames Valley area and developed her skills in marketing and business development.

Later in the same year she achieved the full CeMAP qualification and was authorised to advise on mortgages and many types of protection and general insurance.

Charlotte currently lives in Lower Earley on the outskirts of Reading and enjoys, horse riding, socialising and keeping fit!

Tanya Ricord

Tanya Ricord is the senior administrator and she works alongside the advisers to make sure that all of the applications are processed as quickly as possible and that the highest level of service is provided to clients.

Tanya has over 5 years experience in the financial services industry where she has gained a lot of knowledge. Tanya is currently working towards training to gain qualifications to advise on a range of different insurances.

Tanya currently lives with her long term partner in Thatcham. Her main interests are good food, good wine, ballet and the occasional vegetable gardening exploits.

Lauren Jessett

Lauren Jessett has recently joined Firstxtra as an apprentice administrator and works closely with Tanya to ensure daily duties are achieved and clients have been updated. She is working towards a Business Administration NVQ qualification.
 
Lauren has recently finished doing her A-Levels at Kennet School  and achieved some great results in Biology, Psychology and Chemistry.
 
In Lauren's spare time she enjoys horse-riding with friends, cycling, swimming and reading.
