...

I trust you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year’s celebrations….albeit it feels like a distant memory now!  For my wife Louisa and I, it was lovely to enjoy time with family, relax and eat a little too much turkey!  It’s easy to believe that this is a reflection of what Christmas is like for everyone, but for some, I suspect Christmas was accompanied by a fear of what the next 12 months might bring.  As another year goes by, I look back and realise that health seems to be a bigger topic of conversation with friends and family this year than ever before.  It made me think about my own cover and family.

What would your life look like if you were to be diagnosed with Cancer today?

The latest statistics from Cancer Research UK state there were 356,860 new cases of cancer in 2014.  1 in 2 of us will now be affected by some form of Cancer in our lifetime.*1

In 2014 over £9.4million in claims were paid out every day to help people with Cancer, as well as many other Critical Illnesses to deal with the financial implications of such devastating news*2.  This clearly isn’t an isolated case.  Good health is not a given, but a blessing.

If you haven’t reviewed your cover in a while or perhaps you don’t have cover at all at the moment, there is no time like the present to sort this as soon as possible.  Please give us a call and we will be happy to discuss this further with you.

I wish you all the best in 2017 and hope to speak with you soon
